為檢驗大學英語四、六級考試的.信度與效度，“全國大學英語四、六級考試委員會”與“英國文化委員會”合作進行了為期三年的“大學英語四、六級考試效度研究”。研究結(jié)果表明，大學英語四、六級考試無論在信度上還是在效度上都符合大規(guī)模標準化考試的要求，其考試結(jié)果得到了社會的承認，目前的考試規(guī)模已達到每年240萬人次。
